What we are looking for most
We are looking for a Director & CTO, full-time.
Director & CTO
The Chief Technology Officer who owns technical strategy and product development end to end. You make the architecture decisions and build the engineering organisation.
Leadership
Roles that carry responsibility for where the company goes and how it executes.
Chief Communication Manager / Director & COO
Own communication with customers, partners and the public, and run day-to-day execution as COO.
Chief Executive Officer / President
Lead the company: strategy, fundraising and the team, as President and CEO.
Engineering
Roles that build buddy and the platform underneath it.
Software Engineer
Design and build the platform and pipelines that automate content operations, primarily in TypeScript.
Content and research
Roles that work on information design and content operations themselves.
Information Design Specialist
Research how information gets cited correctly by generative AI, and bring that back into the product and into client work.
Content Strategist
Lead content planning and the operations that reach both search engines and generative AI.
Selection process
- 01 Apply — Email [email protected] with the role you are interested in in the subject line. The button on each role page works too.
- 02 Document review — We read your resume and work history (Japanese or English). Do tell us about published work or a GitHub account.
- 03 Casual chat — A first conversation to get to know each other. Online is fine.
- 04 Exercise — You work on the short exercise described on the role page. It takes about two to four hours. We look at how you think and decide, not at polish.
- 05 Interview — An interview with the founding members, based on what you submitted. Online is fine.
- 06 Offer — We align on terms and discuss when you would start.
What to send
Please send a resume and a work history. Japanese or English is fine. If you have published work, talk slides, or a GitHub account, we would like to see those as well.
